These terms are an agreement between you and Nebula Digital ("we", "us") about your use of Readnext. By using Readnext you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and a membership must be bought by a parent or guardian who accepts these terms.
Readnext suggests books based on the books you rate and the requests you make. It searches a public book catalog, ranks real books against your Reader DNA, and may use AI to help judge how well each book fits.
Recommendations are suggestions. Book details, descriptions and covers come from third-party catalogs and may be incomplete or wrong, and a book may not match what you expected. Check anything that matters to you, such as content or suitability for a young reader, before relying on it.
We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something members pay for, we'll tell members first.
You don't need an account to try the sample reader; your own library and recommendations need a free account, which keeps your library in your browser. A paid membership saves it to your account. Creating an account doesn't cost anything or start a membership. If you create one, give an email address you control, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. An account is for one person.
A membership is a paid subscription that saves your library to your account and raises your AI-judged request allowance. Prices, renewal, cancellation and refunds are covered by the Subscription Terms, which are part of these terms.
The books, ratings, reactions and requests you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Readnext for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Don't:
Readnext's software, design, text and visuals, including the Reader DNA field, belong to Nebula Digital. You may use them only as part of using Readnext. Book data and cover images belong to their owners and are provided through Open Library and the Internet Archive under their terms.
Readnext relies on services we don't control, such as Stripe for payments and Open Library for the catalog. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for their content or availability.
You can stop using Readnext at any time. You can delete your account on the Membership page once any membership has ended (the Privacy Policy explains why deletion waits), or ask us to delete it at michaelbowers@nebuladigital.net. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we end a membership for any other reason, we'll refund the unused part of the current paid period.
Readnext is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that Readnext will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any recommendation will suit you.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Readnext is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
If you use Readnext in a way that breaks these terms or the law and that leads to a claim against Nebula Digital, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Before starting any claim, please email michaelbowers@nebuladigital.net so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we can't, disputes will be decided by the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you live outside the United States, you keep any right to bring a claim in your local courts under mandatory consumer law.
We may update these terms and will post changes on this page with a new date. If a change is material, we'll tell members by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Readnext after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms, the Subscription Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Readnext. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. You can't transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
Questions about these terms go to michaelbowers@nebuladigital.net.
